About Me + First Postings

I believe I should be honest as a person can be. I fail at writing blogs. I've tried countless times, again and again, but I still fail at such things. I think it was the fact that my parental units never felt the need to give me a journal and then insist I write on it. It saved a lot on the whole "breach of privacy" issue some girls had with parents reading their journals.

I will try my best to be on top of this but I'm aware that I will most likely fail. =)

So, a bit about myself. I'm a junior at a community college turned college in Washington state. I'm studying Radiology and Forensic Anthropology as well as working toward my interceptors licenses in American Sign language. I am a Republican but a Republican of today and not yesterday. I've never been very political but with the things our current President is doing I've found myself being more and more active. Granted, unlike a large majority of protesters I do have a job and attend a school -- both which come first rather than protesting my dislikes. When I do get free time I'm attending Tea Parties, watching movies and generally being a twenty-one year old college medical/forensic student.

I'm a lover of murder mysteries, prison stories and movies with twists (Shawshank Redemption satisfies all my needs.) I read far too much for my own good and I'm a huge fan of Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett's book "Good Omens." If you have not read it you must. Adam the Antichrist and Aziraphale and Crowley, angel and demon (respectivly) and Dog the Hellhound. When/If they make a movie I will be first in line.

I own two betta fish named: Mephistopheles and Faust as well as two Catahoula Leopard Dogs named Donny and Marie. (Fact: Teddy Roosevelt was known to hunt with Catahoula Leopard dogs and they are one of the first All-American breeds.)

I have an irrational fear of monkeys, dark water, and ladders.

How I picked the name of my blog. With everyone talking about how the Republicans today are seen as a "mob" I of course had to reach back to the research I have done on such real mobs -- mainly the Mafia. A Button is another name for a soldier in the Mafia and I thought it worked. I'm not an important person -- I'm a regular Jane. I work retail, I pay taxes, I live under the influence of people who have far more money than I could ever even think of obtaining. But I vote. And I'm entitled to freedom of speech and this is the way I'm going to express that (if I can remember to update.)
